The Moser Family

The Moser Family- Plymouth Newcomers and Neighbors

Scott and Suzanne Moser moved to Plymouth in Fall 2006 from Austin, Texas. They returned to the Midwest after the birth of their son, Eli (now age 2) was born so they could be closer to their family. Suzanne grew up in Farmington Hills and Scott grew up in Indianapolis.

Suzanne worked as a database analyst and Web developer at the University of Texas.  She’s now a full-time mom but will add the role of Plymouth Newcomers Webmaster next season!

Scott is a software engineer for IBM. In April 2007, his job took the family away from Plymouth to Boston (to the disappointment of their fellow Newcomers!). Although the Mosers very much enjoyed living in Plymouth, they couldn’t pass up the opportunity to live in the big city for a short time.

The family stayed in Boston until December 2007, then returned to Plymouth. Shortly after, their daughter Sienna was born.  They look forward to once again getting involved in their favorite PNN groups, such as Poker, Euchre and Family Fun. They also hope to help with community service opportunities and would love to join a softball or soccer team.

While in Boston, they got used to walking most places and hope to continue walking whenever possible now that they’re in Plymouth.

“We’re really happy to be back and are so grateful that everyone is so welcoming,” Suzanne said. “We look forward to seeing all those familiar faces again soon.”

Nancy Janoch
Ladies Night Out Leader

Nancy Janoch- Plymouth Newcomers and Neighbors

Nancy Janoch has been a Newcomers member for seven years and has led the
Ladies Poker Night group (which turned into Games Night) and several rounds of the Ladies Night Out group, which she leads today.  She has helped with meals for the Friendship Circle, played on the bowling league, and participated in the Holiday Showcase.  When she can, she also likes to go to bunco, euchre, and Out to Lunch Bunch too. “I wish I had more time to go to even more events,” Nancy said. “Plymouth Newcomers & Neighbors is a fabulous group!”

Nancy’s business in Plymouth, Happy Hounds Dog Day Care, has been a proud sponsor of the Fall Fest for several years.  Her business keeps her very busy, especially lately since Happy Hounds added cage-free overnight boarding as an additional service this year.   “Being a business owner in Plymouth is a great experience,” said Nancy.  “The ‘small town’ atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for in a place to live, as well as have a business.  Everyone is so friendly and it doesn’t take long to feel like part of the community.”

Nancy and her “life partner”, Jim Thompson, moved here in 2001 from Twinsburg, Ohio – a Cleveland suburb - when Jim’s job brought him to Plymouth. He is a senior developmental chemist for Henkel of America.  Nancy had another dog business there for six years—an in-home petsitting company.  Before that, she spent 20+ years in corporate management for a $500 million company as Director of Purchasing.  She decided to leave “the corporate rat race” to do something she loved; being with dogs.  Dogs have been a big part of her life since she was a young girl, and she spent many years training, showing, and breeding her Labs & Goldens.  Nancy, interestingly enough, does not own any dogs right now.  She says she is the Plymouth Dog Grandma, almost every night having a client’s four-legged furry friend spend the night at her house.

Nancy loves to travel, spends six weeks in Florida every year, and is very much looking forward to a Mediterranean cruise this September.  But the best thing in her life she says, are her five grandchildren who live in Ohio.
